PROJECT No. 04.2.1-LVPA-K-836-04-0010 “Installation of energy production capacity using renewable energy sources at UAB Vilpros Pramonė” The project “Installation of energy production capacity using renewable energy sources at UAB Vilpros Pramonė” is being implemented under Priority 4 of the 2014–2020 European Union Funds Investment Action Program “Promotion of energy efficiency and the production and use of energy from renewable sources,” Measure No. 04.2.1-LVPA-K-836 “Renewable Energy Sources for Industry LT+.” The project’s objective is to reduce energy consumption intensity at UAB “Vilpros pramonė” by increasing the production and consumption of renewable energy. The project has been allocated €76,303.94 in funding from the European Regional Development Fund. UAB “Vilpros pramonė” is a leader in its field in the Baltic States, manufacturing stainless steel chimneys that meet the requirements of European harmonized standards. The company offers its customers a wide range of chimney liners, double-walled chimneys, and industrial chimney systems. As production volumes increase, the company’s electricity consumption is also rising steadily. To reduce production costs and enhance the competitiveness of its products, the company has invested in renewable energy sources, which will significantly lower energy consumption costs over the long term. During the project implementation, a 170 kW solar power plant was installed, which will generate 36% of the company’s annual energy consumption. Start of project activities: September 22, 2020.
